Leave to stand for 60 seconds.

Did you know you can adjust how quickly your Plaster of Paris sets? It's true! While it typically sets in 20-30 minutes, here's how you can take control:

Speed it Up:

Need your project to dry faster? Simply swap plain water for a salt-water solution when mixing your Plaster of Paris. Make the solution by dissolving 1 teaspoon of salt in 1 litre of water.

Slow it Down:

Want more time to work with your plaster? Two common household items come to the rescue: 

• Vinegar: Mix 1 teaspoon of vinegar into 1 litre of water to create a vinegar solution. Use this instead of plain water when mixing your plaster.
• Baking Powder: If vinegar isn't enough, baking powder is a powerful slowing agent. Add ¼ teaspoon per 1 cup of Plaster powder for significantly extended working time.

Remember, these adjustments affect the setting time, not the final strength of your plaster creation.
